The on-board ration for the crews of airplanes and helicopters is provided to the personnel of the crews of airplanes and helicopters of the aviation authorities of the Russian Federation during flights.

In-flight rations are consumed at the following rate: for the first meal - 4 hours after the last pre-flight meal in the canteen or at the airfield, and for subsequent meals - every 4 hours of the flight.

For continuous flights lasting 4-5 hours, each member of the aircraft (helicopter) crew is given one on-board ration. In this case, the crew is not removed from the canteen allowance.

During flights (for helicopters away from places of permanent deployment) lasting more than 8 hours, crew members of airplanes and helicopters who have received on-board rations are not assigned to the canteen for regular meals coinciding with the flight and food is not prepared for them.

For flights lasting up to 24 hours, each crew member is given one MRE, and for flights lasting more than 24 hours -two MREs.
